Ask Students to report what they learned from lesson 2. Use this discussion to Segway into the
discussion of some of the most famous battles of wills in the Bible. Let them decide which of
them is most important and why? Students should identify at least two of the following:

1. Adam, Eve and the Serpent in the Garden
2. Jesus and the Temptation in the wilderness
3. Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane

What does the word “will” mean? Let students tell what they think it means. Provide them with the
biblical definition.
