Based on Chapter 4 of the book entitled “March to Maturity: Grounded and Built” by Dr. Wendy Sproul, this lesson discusses issues involved in grounding and building in Christ as our Foundation. It looks at the significance of identifying Christ as the foundation for those who are born again according to Jesus’ directive and explores important aspects of Christ as the believers’ paradigm or worldview

 

 

. Objectives

 

At the end of this lesson the student will:

 

  • Learn about the significance of having Christ as our Foundation.
  • Be able to identify three models or types of Christ as our Foundation
  • Be able to describe the features of Jesus Christ as our paradigm or world view.
  • Understand critical aspects of the Christ paradigm such as the nature, Christos, interest, priorities, will, desire and destiny of Christ among others, and apply it to their own lives

 

Duration: 50 Minutes

 

Exercise: Why Christ as our Foundation?

Ask Students to report what they learned from lesson 3. Use this discussion to Segway into the discussion of Building and grounding in Christ. Point them to Matt. 13:25–30
